TILE AND GROUT CLEANING SERVICE
Does your tile lack the sparkle and shine it used to have?
Tile and grout is very porous, with lots of small holes for oils, greases and soils to settle in. How can you tell if your tile and grout needs to be cleaned? The easiest way is to take a look at the grout in a low traffic area. Then look at the grout in a high traffic area. There’s most likely a huge difference.
Tile and grout by its very construction is porous, full of nooks and crannies where oils, sugars and just plain soil find a home. How can you tell if your tile and grout needs attention – well – the easiest way is to compare the grout lines at the edge of the room where no one walks with the grout lines in the traffic lane. You are bound to see a tremendous difference. Secondly and probably more important from a liability standpoint, is that heavily soiled tile can become very slippery when it gets wet.
How can Pop-In’s get your tile and grout looking like new again?
Well it’s not with a tooth brush or a mop. In fact mops only move soil and oil from one area of the tile to another. Our cleaning process flushes out more soils and dirt than any other technique. We apply a special cleaning agent to soften the soils and oil and hold them in suspension.
We agitate the grout lines and tiles with specially designed brushes and machines then we blast away the soil by using a “power washer in a box” connected to our 1000 psi truck mounted unit. This 1000 psi spray blasts the soils from the tile and grout and the whole perimeter of the box is filled with vacuum ports to move the cleaning solution and dirt away to the tanks in our truck mounted units. Your floors will be dry in no time!! After that we can also apply a sealer – the benefit to you – with the sealer there is much less chance that soil, grease and sugars will gain a strong hold on your floor. Now, regular maintenance will keep the floor cleaner and safer. Your home will benefit from an annual full cleaning of your tile and grout.
Flagstone, Saltillo & Slate Tiles
Absorbent surface products should have a top coat sealer applied. Top coat sealers protect the surface from direct wear and staining. They also bring out the color of your natural stone and most have a durable reflective sheen. Top coat sealers will show wear, scratches and can show scuff marks however most can be buffed to bring out the shine again. Some top coats can flake or blister if moisture gets underneath. Absorbent stones and tiles can have a penetrating sealer applied instead but remember that the surface of the tile is still exposed to direct wear and damage. Always remember when re-sealing to have the surface stripped or cleaned so that dirt is not sealed in.
